MICHELLE FIELDS, MA, LPC

Clinical Director-IOP

Michelle Fields has a Master of Arts degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in Boulder. She joined La Luna Center’s team as an intern and has been with us since. Michelle is experienced in working with disordered eating and body image issues in both group and individual therapy.  Michelle has background in mindfulness practices, meditation and yoga. Her approach to therapy is integrative and draws from contemplative, psychodynamic, and humanistic psychologies. Michelle’s clients appreciate her compassionate, grounded and open presence.

JADE NORTHROP, MA, LPC

Primary Therapist - IOP

Jade received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.  Jade is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado.  She has worked within the university setting with varying presenting concerns amongst students and staff as well as in community mental health with adolescents and families.  She utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, as well as Feminist theories.  She is EMDR trained and uses trauma-informed approaches. She values a client-centered approach and utilizes empathy and compassion to meet clients where they are at on their recovery journey. Clients appreciate her humor, authenticity, and straightforwardness.

CAIT OLDE, MA

Primary Therapist - IOP

Cait received a Master of Arts in Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University and is actively pursuing credentialing as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Cait’s approach to recovery is advocacy based for each individual client within their system. Cait’s main goal is to approach each client’s journey with curiosity and compassion in order to walk alongside each client to help them achieve their own goals of recovery. Cait is passionate about helping clients build self-confidence to navigate the challenges of disordered eating, and the joys of recovery. To support this, Cait uses evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Cait brings a mindfulness component to all aspects of psychotherapy and has experience working with adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health issues.

AMBER KOCH, RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - IOP

Amber is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Colorado. She completed a CDR-accredited dietetic internship at Be Well Solutions in Cleveland, during which she confirmed her ability to engage and empower clients of diverse backgrounds. Amber is passionate about helping all clients build positive relationships with food/body through evidence based nutrition education and counseling using a non-diet and Health at Every Size® approach. She is a current member of the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition practice group through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. Above all, Amber strives to hear, understand and collaborate with her clients. 
Outside of work, Amber enjoys all things outdoors.

LINDSEY POST M.S, M.A,

Group Therapist - IOP

Lindsey has a  Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from Western Illinois University.  Lindsey is actively pursuing credentialing as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Lindsey has experience helping adult and child populations with a range of mental health concerns. Lindsey brings a curious approach to group therapy, helping clients explore their current and past experiences through the mind and body. To explore life with her clients, Lindsey uses interventions from  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions-Focused Treatment, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Clients appreciate her warmth, lightheartedness, empathy and curiosity.

ALLIE COLDIRON, BA

Office Manager/Admissions - IOP

Allie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from La Sierra University. She is passionate about organization, efficiency and creating a beautiful space. Allie handles admissions, scheduling, billing, and insurance issues and regularly interacts in-person and on the phone with all of our clients. She is the backbone of our center and our clients appreciate her warmth, approachability, and attention to detail.

JESSICA TSOURMAS, MD

Psychiatrist - PHP

Dr. Jessica Tsourmas is board certified in both adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. She received her medical degree in 2006 from George Washington University. She then completed the rest of her training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN in 2011. Dr. Tsourmas worked as an assistant professor at Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas for 8 years. She was the medical director of the inpatient child psychiatry unit and was an attending physician on the consult service for the pediatric hospital. Teaching and supervising residents and fellows was a daily part of her job. Dr. Tsourmas' clients appreciate her authenticity, humor and compassion.

HOLLY SCANES, PHD

Dr. Holly Scanes received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Colorado State University. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with disordered eating and body image issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  Holly’s approach is integrative, with an emphasis on strengths-based techniques.  She places great value on the importance of healthy and nurturing relationships and strongly believes in the healing power of both interpersonal and family-based interventions. Dr. Scanes utilizes a number of therapeutic approaches, including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. CLAIRE TIMM, M.S., MFTC

Claire received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University San Marcos, and her Master’s Degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon. Claire is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate in the state of Colorado. As a relational therapist, Claire is interested in exploring various areas within a client’s life to help them increase their own self-awareness. She is also passionate about helping clients choose connection over their eating disorders. Claire has experience working with adults, children, couples, and families in dealing with a range of mental health concerns. She utilizes narrative therapy, internal family systems, experiential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to inform her clinical work.

EMILY CARLETON, MA, LPCC

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University and her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. Emily has experiences as a wilderness therapy guide, grief therapist, community college psychology instructor and as a Yoga Therapist. She is passionate about social justice and helping clients recovery from disordered eating. Clients appreciate Emily’s gentle, insightful, and curious therapeutic approach.

MEGAN COONEY, M.S., RDN

Megan completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Public Health & Community Health Education at Stony Brook University. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition and her dietetic internship at Colorado State University. During her studies, Megan developed a strong interest in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. She is passionate about helping clients build positive relationships with both food and body through a weight-inclusive, anti-diet approach. Megan enjoys connecting with and collaborating alongside clients, supporting them as they navigate recovery. Clients appreciate her compassionate, thoughtful approach to nutrition care.

MARTHA CARTER, MSW, LSW

Martha obtained her Master of Social Work from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2020 with a specialization in addictions counseling. Martha has a dedicated passion for working with diverse populations receiving treatment for disordered eating and related mental health challenges. She has experience working with adults of all ages in residential and outpatient levels of care and finds great meaning and satisfaction from accompanying patients on their path toward recovery. Martha embodies a therapeutic approach involving authenticity, genuine person-centered care, and fostering intuitive mind-body connections. She strives to empower those she works with to recognize their individuality and strength with an unwavering hopefulness and excitement for healing. Martha is often recognized for her commitment to clinical growth, continuous pursuit of knowledge and expertise as a professional, astute analysis of the impact of societal factors on individuals, and most importantly, her warm and grounding presence.

Julien is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado and holds a Master of Science in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Julien has extensive experience helping individuals, couples, and families and has provided counseling in a variety of settings including his own private practice. Julien’s approach to therapy is strength-based, client-centered and systemic.  As Julien’s client, you can expect a welcoming and collaborative environment where you will feel comfortable exploring the avenues to reach your goals.

Hannah Brass, RDN
Hannah Brass received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University. She then went on to complete her post graduate work through Priority Nutrition Care Dietetic Internship in Boston, MA to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Hannah provides nutritional support to individuals in the recovery process and promotes an intuitive approach to eating and overall wellness. Hannah creates a collaborative and supportive environment, helping individuals find a balanced relationship with food and a lifestyle that works well for them. She views food as nourishment and fuel for the body. Hannah also enjoys cooking and tasting new foods
